My Ed App
As part of our strategy to improve communication between parents and the academy, we have an academy app for parents called My Ed.
The app is free to download from the app store. Having the app on your device will give you easy access to the following information about the academy and your child or children:
- attendance and absence
- key academy dates
- academy news
- Parent Evening Booking System
- online uniform shop
- School Money
- Lesson timetables
Only parents and carers with parental responsibility (PR) will be able to see link to the Student page to view their children's timetable as well as their achievement and behaviour points as they accumulate.
All home-school communications and parental consent forms are shared via the My Ed app so there is no need to send pieces of paper back for school trips, fixtures or after school events.
Below are instructions on how to download the app to your phone or tablet. The app can be downloaded by anybody with a suitable device but only parents and carers who are registered on our school database as having Parental Responsibility (PR) will be able to connect to their child’s student page.
Once you have signed in to the app you must wait 24 hours before you can link to the Student page. If, after 24 hours, you are unable to connect to your child’s details it is because the mobile number that you are using differs from what is on our school information management system (SIMS). In this case, you will need to email firstname.lastname@example.org to update us with the correct mobile number. When this has been verified and updated, you will be able to try again 24 hours later.
If you do not have the app, our communication system will automatically work this out and send an email and/or sms message to parents and carers with Parental Responsibility. It is essential that you always keep us updated with current and valid contact details.
